Never stop explore

Milena Ratajczak, PhD

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Astronomical Observatory of the University of Warsaw. My scientific interests include binary stars, evolved systems, and extrasolar planets. I am a member of the OGLE project - the largest survey aimed at searching for variability in the sky. Together with Solaris team I work on detached eclipsing binaries using a network of robotic telescopes. I collaborate with BRITE consortium working on studies of the brightest stars using data from the nano-satellites constellation.

I am also a board member of the Polish Astronomical Society, as well as the New Space and MultiŚwiat foundations. As a regional coordinator of international outreach project focusing on astronomy among children - UNAWE, I enjoy combining astronomy research with science communication.
